Advent is a special time in the life of the church, and anyone familiar with this season knows that people in general understand Advent as a preparation for Christmas. But in fact, Advent is Advent! Advent means “coming.” Who is coming? Jesus, of course! And He is coming in glory to judge both the living and the dead, as we confess our faith.
