Once again, the Gradual nicely sets the tone for the service and sermon by exulting in “the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God.” Who but God, our God, could possibly cause all things (all things!) to “work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose” (Epistle, Rom 8:28)? This is reason for us constantly to “give thanks to the Lord,” “sing praises to Him,” and “tell of all His wondrous works!” (Introit). We Already Have “More, More, More”—in Christ.
