Tropical Trek–Jesus Comes to Seek and Save is the theme for this year’s VBS program. Kids will explore God’s Word and discover how God finds and helps us in every situation we encounter in life. At Tropical Trek, kids will learn how Jesus seeks them and all people. He is the Son of Man, who came to seek and to save the lost! Activities will include Bible Lessons, Bible Exploration, games, snacks, crafts, and songs.
The preschool children will have the same schedule all week. Then for those who just completed grades K-5, we will be watching The Pilgrim’s Progress movie and popcorn with an intermission of game time in the gym. This is an alternate activity we are making available for kids that still want to come in the morning.
Wednesday evening, we will have a Family Patriotic Night with the theme “In God We Trust.” This will be an opportunity to celebrate our country’s 250 anniversary and thank God for our country. There will be a supper at 5:30 followed by a program from 6-7:30pm. Other than Bible Story time, we will be singing patriotic songs, completing a theme family craft, and having recreation time for all ages. The congregation is also invited, so it will be an event to bring together families and our congregation. Kids can choose to only come in the morning, come only to the evening program their family, or come to both. Some may choose to come to only the evening program on Wednesday and not come to morning VBS any day.
Supper will be in the Bethany Room and the program will begin and end in the sanctuary. Hope to see you there!
